Three Counties Equine Hospital's Chris Rea first vet to test Mobile

Three Counties Equine Hospital's Chris Rea first vet to test Mobile

28th March 2013

Eclipse Mobile is a 'hit' with the first vets to get their hands on the new app! Ambulatory vets love being able to carry their diary appointments and animal histories everywhere they work, without thinking about loading/syncing files or choosing what to include.

Chris Rea at Three Counties Equine Hospital in Gloucestershire was one the first vets to test out the new software, but many of the equine hospitals and ambulatory practices currently using Eclipse have been able to try out Mobile for themselves over the last few weeks.

If your practice has been looking for a practice management system you can take with you anywhere, and works perfectly on and off-line, why not get in touch with the Eclipse team?

Within the hospital, patient information on the iPad is easily accessible from exam or consult rooms, or while sitting down with a cup of coffee to catch your breath before heading down to discuss the case with a client. With OsiriX HD installed, x-rays, MRIs, ultrasound, bone scans are all accessible from the animal history directly. Add notes or To Do's and they will be in the diary to remind you at the appropriate time.

Field trials of Eclipse Mobile underway

Field trials of Eclipse Mobile underway

18th January 2013

Ambulatory and hospital vets at all the equine practices using Eclipse will have their first opportunity to take Mobile, the new iPad/iPhone edition for a test drive this week.

Designed to enable animal histories, client information, lab test results and diagnostic imaging to be carried easily on visits and around the consult/exam rooms, Eclipse Mobile is a revolutionary break through in convenient access.

While the device is connected via WiFi or 3G, any information from the central systems are available to authorised users. While vets are making visits to more remote/rural locations and are not online, any information needed for the immediate task in hand plus much else besides (just in case you are asked to look at an animal not specifically booked in for that appointment!), is available even when there is no connection. When next online, new clinical notes entered by the vet in the field are updated, billing information is sent back to booking/accounts staff, and new appointments/other info is downloaded automatically ready for the vet to use when needed.

"We are delighted that our customers can try out the new Eclipse Mobile app for themselves now. We hope everyone will enjoy being able to look things up and keep track of their appointments and messages easily while they are out making visits" said CEO Jeanne Razzell. "We have many more new features in the pipeline for the Mobile edition. This is just the start of a whole new chapter in the Eclipse story."

Eclipse team go even larger!

Eclipse team go even larger!

1st November 2012

New recruit, Karen Westlake, and old hand, Jon Catterall, have today been appointed to new positions in Eclipse sales and support.

Karen will be based in Newmarket, covering the eastern half of the country, with Jon looking after all points west!

Karen has ridden and competed since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, everything from Pony Club to national events, point-to-point, showing, schooling young horses and riding out flat race horses. Having done the married and sensible thing for a bit, managing in retail and property, and had three children, Karen has joined Eclipse to help field new enquiries and visit equine clients working with Eclipse.

Jon's background is remarkably similar... having spent several years in print and repro, running a digital press and pre-press operation before joining Systems Support as a technical support expert. Jon has been looking after the Eclipse'd practices in his area for some time and will now be dedicated to supporting our early adopters as well as visiting prospective new clients.

Major new facilities at Grove Referrals

Major new facilities at Grove Referrals

26th October 2012

Grove Referrals is a busy second opinion practice accepting small animal referrals in orthopaedic, spinal surgery and ophthalmology from veterinary surgeons throughout East Anglia.

Phase I of the new development is now complete, with Phase II well underway and due for completion early next year. There is a large new preparation area which serves two state of the art operating theatres and digital x-ray. Eclipse Veterinary Software's very own, Charlie Brown, is seen here setting up the latest addition to the diagnostic image viewing equipment, suitably attired for his surroundings, of course.

Completion of phase II in mid-Feb 2013 will increase the kennels with dedicated dog, cat and isolation wards. A second preparation area will serve a minor operating theatre, dental room, imaging suite (digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy) and CT with GE Brivo 385 16 slice scanner.

All modalities are able to be supported by the Eclipse PACS system which stores images and enables vets to retrieve them quickly and easily to any workstation.
