I am starting to really get to grips with Eclipse now! I am getting much quicker and can even load new clients onto the system without my notes!!

We would like send our warmest wishes to you all, along with some festive cheer and most of all a huge THANK YOU for helping us make our dream come true. We have officially started working under Heath Equine Veterinary Practice, and couldn’t be happier.

It’s been a busy six weeks of prep to get the ball rolling but we are over the start line and now the rest of our careers begin! We couldn’t have done it without the help of your teams and the positive support we’ve received has been a huge boost for us.

We have used Eclipse since 2016, since changing from a bespoke DOS software program that was still running – or rather plodding – after 20 years. We hoped to expand its capabilities over time, but the expense involved in a bespoke package proved difficult to justify.

We investigated many systems over the years, but none did what we had envisaged when we had the flow charts out. We actually purchased one system which made many promises but, in reality, it was clumsy to use, totally non-user friendly and did not have the connectivity between horses/stables/owners we required.

Finally, we came across Eclipse and have not looked back. It does exactly what we had originally planned, links are made from every data entry point. Horse histories are easily accessible with lab fees, discharge and referral reports all to hand. The mobile version works very well. Vets can check their diaries, look up client details and book their repeat visits via their iPads or phones. In the office we use the system on Macs which also run Microsoft so a win/win. We cannot recommend Eclipse highly enough to streamline the practice from booking through to invoicing and more. If the system does not currently do a particular need you have, a quick word with the technical team can often result in a tweak personalised for you.

WE LOVE IT!

We switched to Eclipse because we were after a practice management system that offered us increased functionality in all aspects of equine practice; reception team, hospital in patients, vets out on the road, stock control, accounts and debt. So far it has delivered this in every way and we are thrilled with the phenomenal amount of time it has saved us and increased efficiency now recognized throughout the practice. Couple this with fantastic support from the Eclipse team and we are just frustrated we did not make the move sooner.

With the sale of Newnham Court Equine and separation of the equine clinic from a large mixed practice, we wanted a system tailored specifically to the demands of equine practice. This meant a system that worked for both ambulatory vets on the road as well as a busy hospital. Whilst we are still very much in the early stages, it is clear to see that Eclipse will save an enormous amount of time, improve efficiency, so improving staff wellbeing and stress, improve accounting and debt control and provide valuable access to all data out of hours, as well as provide useful reporting for targeting areas of performance.

We have been bowled over by the kind, friendly, caring and professional support of all the team at Eclipse, in particular, Jeanne and Polly, and couldn’t have asked for a more helpful group of people to steer us through a difficult transition. I wholeheartedly recommend this system and the support provided, to all equine practices.

I think Eclipse is much the best practice management system, and it was my job to source the new system so I have looked at most of them. It is the only one with sufficient complexity of the diary to cope with equine practice, and with genuine integration of laboratory and imaging data. It is highly mobile, you can run it via VPN at home. (I did a lot of work researching numbers of cases etc when I was in Moscow in McDonalds on the free wifi just over the road from the outrageously expensive hotel!). I am sure it would run fine through a laptop with tethering to an iPhone on 3G – but it wouldn’t run on slower links.

Having spent some time researching into the various options, I found Systems Support very supportive and reassuring. The step into digital radiography and seemed huge and we did not want to make any mistakes and invest in hard and software which either became obsolete or we lived to regret. We also wanted a dicom viewer at the centre of the system that enabled us to view all our imaging modalities, and did not involve us having to get used to different software. We finally opted to use Osirix with dedicated Macs as imaging work stations, networked around the practice and our operating theatres. Jeanne and her team provided us with a PACs server and networked the whole system. We found the Systems Support team very supportive and dealt efficiently with all issues that arose. The on going technical support has been first class and we have been very pleased that we made the right decision.

is for image studies on Eclipse.  It’s fair to say that these changes make

more difference to my day than you can probably imagine!
