Tattersalls
Tattersalls sales auction software originally went live in 2009, succeeding an old IBM system that had long ago outlived its usefulness. The design and development work created an elegant easy-to-use auction system, now adopted widely across Tattersalls including Ireland and, more recently, Ascot and Sandown.
An online auction module was added when Covid made it difficult to hold public auctions in person and it seamlessly slotted in to extend the functionality for Tattersalls. Support, maintenance and training is provided to keep everything running smoothly, especially on sale days! And, as with Eclipse, an integrated app has been developed to enable those attending any sale to have all the lot details they need available instantly updated on their iPhones/iPads.

- Holds all details for vendors, purchasers and consigners
- Yearling inspections system for auctioneers visiting vendors to grade young stock
- Manages issuing and return of entry forms for each sale
- Handles production of animal pedigrees, lotting and boxing, printing of catalogue
- Mailing list management and mailing production including custom sorting for delivery
- Produces information for ID vets, wind tests, drug tests, passports, certificates, etc
- Day-of-sale system: rostrum updates, results entry and publishing to website, IBI
- and other marketing initiatives, accounts information, and pass out control
- All sales ledger activities including invoicing, credit control, links with NAVision/Sage accounts
- Online lot/sale result/catalogue searches driven directly from BASIS
- App for iPad and iPhone
- Online auctions and Make-an-Offer system driven directly from BASIS
- Online video searching for Breeze Up sales driven directly from BASIS
- Information is published automatically to the Tattersalls website instantaneously
- Repository for vets to easily upload/view images for upcoming lots

The Bloodstock team keep worldwide performance information up-to-date and use their custom application to create and produce that information in a huge variety of formats, from the beautifully illustrated Stallion Book to the signs on the stable doors at Tattersalls’ sales!
